STAY IN THE HIMALAYAN MOUNTAINS FOR HEALTH, PEACE, AND YOGA
Crime Reduction includes research focusing on the need to incentivize crime reduction to persuade more people to take responsibility for reducing a variety of crime. Crime Reduction also includes the effects of apparently subtle strategies, such as changes to street lighting; and, anticipatory changes whereby crime seems to reduce in advance of crime reduction initiatives. In neighborhoods with persistent crime problems, the Innovations in Community Based Crime Reduction program, administered by the Department of Justice Bureau of Justice Assistance, supports data-driven, comprehensive and community-oriented strategies to reduce crime and spur revitalization.
We have provided technical assistance since 2012 and are now collaborating with the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), the technical assistance provider for the latest round of Community Based Crime Reduction program sites across the country. Implementing effective crime reduction requires deliberate thought and effort to integrate processes into the police organization, its culture, and the day-to-day work. Stratified Policing: An Organizational Model for Proactive Crime Reduction and Accountability by Roberto Santos and Rachel Santos provides police leaders a clear path for institutionalization of crime reduction modeled after current police processes.
Crime Reduction Initiatives is a registered charity in England and Wales and in Scotland. Crime Reduction Initiatives is a national provider of support, treatment and rehabilitation programmes for those whose lives are blighted by substance misuse, crime and lack of opportunity.

Crime Reduction Canada: Focuses on immediate steps you can take to protect yourself, your family and your property from crime. There is another aspect of crime reduction and improving your community that you should consider volunteering.
Funding and
Implementing Crime Reduction Initiatives
Karen Bullock, Graham Farrell and Nick Tilley. The Crime Reduction Programme seeks to encourage crime
reduction projects with potential and to learn from them lessons about how to be
successful and how to avoid failure. The Targeted Policing Initiative (TPI) has
funded 59 projects that seek to reduce crime through the use of problem-solving
methodology and a range of these is being evaluated. This report describes some of the lessons learnt about
problem analysis, project planning and implementation from a series of policing
projects set up as part the government's three-year Crime Reduction Programme.
The objective of this study was to identify some of the general early lessons
for crime reduction that are emerging from the Targeted Policing Initiative
projects. Although the examples used relate to the Targeted Policing Initiative
the lessons are applicable to most crime reduction projects.
Criminological theories and crime reduction
planning: What academics need to provide and what policy makers need - Garrison,
Arthur - Paper presented at the annual meeting of the American Society of Criminology.
Abstract: Criminology provides insight into crime and why people act in deviant ways. But
policy makers and community leaders who seek to understand why crime is occurring in their
community require more than just explanations, they require answers to the question
so what do we do now? What action steps follow from the proposed theory of crime? In other
words criminologists need to provide practical answers to crime reduction. The
presentation will demonstrate how various criminological theories were presented to policy
makers and community leaders to address the level of violence in the City of Wilmington,
Delaware.
